Shahid Kapoor is PETA Asia’s Sexiest Vegetarian

Shahid Kapoor, the new face in the abs world will be awarded with PETA Asia's sexiest vegetarian award! John Abraham, Raveena Tandon, Hema Malini and ace photographer Atul Kasbekar will host the 10th anniversary celebrations of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) in Mumbai on Friday (Dec 18). To be held at the Trident Hotel at Bandra kurla Complex, the gala will also have recorded video appearances by Pamela Anderson and Canadian rocker Bryan Adams. Other guests expected at the event include Rahul Dev, Celina Jaitly, Amisha Patel and Jackie Shroff.

'My Name Is Khan' to Screen at Berlin Film Festival

The latest Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol film My Name Is Khan has been selected to screen at the 60th annual Berlin International Film Festival, next year. Directed by Karan Johar and set in the US, My Name Is Khan will screen at one of the oldest and most respected film festivals in the world and in a country that has a growing appetite for Indian cinema. The Berlin International Film Festival runs from Feb 11 to 21, 2010 and will host premieres from top filmmakers from dozens of countries. My Name Is Khan is set to be released in theatres in India and over 40 countries including the US, Canada, Britain, Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East on Feb 12 on Valentine's Day weekend.

No New Year Resolutions for Bipasha Basu

Actress Bipasha Basu says she has decided not to make any New Year resolutions because it often becomes difficult to stick to them. But she's looking forward to another wonderful year. She briefed media about her performance on New Year's eve and said she would perform to chartbusters from her hit films. "I would perform on some great songs from Race, Bachna Ae Haseeno, definitely Omkara and All The Best," said Bipasha.

'Love Aaj Kal' Bags 15 Nominations at Apsara Awards

Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer Love Aaj Kal has bagged 15 nominations for the 5th Apsara Film and Television Producers Guild Awards to be held here Jan 8 next year. Love Aaj Kal has been nominated for awards in various categories. The film is about the essence of love that never changes despite time and space difference. It raked in Rs.8 crore (Rs.80 million) on its opening day. The awards ceremony will be held at the Chitrakoot Grounds, Andheri.

Katrina Prescribed Complete Bed Rest

Katrina Kaif has been prescribed complete bed rest as her health becomes a cause of concern. Katrina, who recently had jaundice, is unwell once again and was seen at a suburban hospital in Mumbai on Dec 13. She spent almost the whole of Sunday at the hospital undergoing medical tests, as the doctors too were worried about her deteriorating health. She has been advised complete bed rest.

Dino Morea Plans to Tie The Knot

Dino Morea, 34, who has been seen often in the company of his long-standing friend Nandita Mahtani, doesn't rule out permanence in his relationship with her. Dino, who turned 34 on December 9, says he needs one special person in his life now. Dino's parents flew in to Mumbai from Bangalore for his birthday. "It was us three brothers and my parents. Now I need that one special person. That's all one needs to make a complete life, no?" The entrepreneur side to Dino's personality seems more assertive at the moment than the actor. After opening a bar, he is all set to open three more branches in Mumbai. Dino is also ready to market male designer clothes.

British Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif has retained the top spot in an annual list of the world's 50 sexiest Asian women unveiled Friday. She beats off tough competition from other actresses, former beauty queens, models and pop stars to hold on to the Eastern Eye crown she won last year. Indian actresses took eight of the top 10 spots, with British television star Laila Rouass and Pakistani actress Mehwish Hayat completing the list.

Bipasha Basu and singer Sudesh Bhosle will add glitz to the New Year eve celebrations at the Sahara Star Hotel. Vivek Kumar, CEO of hotel, however, refused to reveal how much Bipasha was charging for her performance. "She is priceless. We do not attach any price to art, but yes, there are certain commitments that will be fulfilled," said Kumar, and added that Sudesh Bhonsle would also perform. Kumar informed that they have designed various packages and priced them differently for those who want to enjoy the New Year eve extravaganza.

On December 12, nine years after she picked up her own crown, Priyanka Chopra will be on the beauty pageant podium in Johannesburg as a judge for the final round of this year's Miss World contest. "When Julia Morley, who is in charge of the beauty pageant, invited me to be a judge, I was ecstatic. There I was a teenager all those years ago, nervous as a help on the same platform. Deepika Padukone has become the brand ambassador of Johnson & Johnson's new fairness cream and says Neutrogena Fine Fairness cream is a multi-purpose product. Tina Mistry, vice-president-marketing of Johnson & Johnson, says though the product targets women, it will be equally effective for men as well. All the products will be suitable for both men and women, but this particular range is primarily for women, said Mistry. The Neutrogena range of Johnson & Johnson a more than a 120-year-old brand includes fairness cream, lotion, toner, essence and mask.

SRK Says No to Lingerie Show

Farah Khan is choreographing the eagerly-awaited lingerie show for the brand Triumph and has invited her new favourite star Akshay Kumar and her old friend Shah Rukh Khan, too. While Akshay agreed to be at the show, SRK politely turned down Farah's invitation saying he is too embarrassed to be a part of such lingerie shows. Ranbir Kapoor Offered Rs 12 Crore for a Film

Ranbir Kapoor, 27, has reportedly signed his latest film Rocket Singh, to be directed by Imtiaz Ali, for a fee of Rs. 12 crore. The film will be produced by Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision. A. R. Rahman has been nominated for two Grammy awards for the film Slumdog Millionaire. He has been nominated in the best soundtrack for motion pictures, television or other visual media category for the film, and in the best song for motion picture, television and other visual media category for Jai ho. Written by lyricist Gulzar, Jai ho has been sung by Sukhvinder Singh, Tanvi Shah, Mahalaxmi Iyer, Vijay Prakash and Rahman himself. The 52th edition of the Annual Grammy Awards will be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Jan 31, 2010.

Amrita Rao Says No To Kissing Scene

Even though Amrita Rao was keen to work with director Mohit Suri, she refused his film when she got a chance to. According to sources, she was required to do a kissing scene with Emraan Hashmi in Mohit's upcoming film which is based on the racial attacks in Australia. But she is not comfortable with the idea of kissing on screen so when she learnt about this scene, she politely turned down the offer. Amrita has now been replaced by South star Neha Sharma.
